BIOGRAPHY

Rashid Nurekeev - born in 1964, was born in the Kyzylorda region. Rashid lives and works in Almaty. Graduated from the Almaty Art School. Rashid works in the genre of conceptual art, uses techniques of painting, installation, photo art, video art. The artist expresses in his works his observations and reflections on the relationship between the personal and the public. Rashid Nurekeev is an artist whose works have enriched Kazakhstani culture with high-level works that have deep imaginative power. His works are marked by the detachment and irony of postmodern expression.
